Inspector Overview:
Sun Country Airlines is seeking an Inspector to established directives, policies and procedures along with individual judgment and initiative, as required, to determine aircraft, engine and aircraft appliance airworthiness. Inspectors will also exercise judgment in the approval/non-approval of completed work in accordance with established directives and Sun Country Airlinesrsquo; established maintenance and repair standards.
Essential roles and responsibilities of The Inspector:

  • Accomplish periodic checks and operations on aircraft and engines, and record findings in accordance with Sun Country Airlinesrsquo; procedures.
  • Inspect all repairs, replacements, and installations on aircraft when required in accordance with the provisions of this manual.
  • Inspect incoming material, including incoming and outgoing engines for shipping damage, airworthiness certification, AD compliance and other requirements as specified by the company.
  • Coordinate with Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control as to inspection progress and advise him/her of inspection status.
  • Monitor and control Sun Country Airlinesrsquo; tool calibration policies and procedures.
  • Perform random hangar, stock room, safety, and Layover check reviews.
  • Perform random reviews of generated paperwork checking for errors.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt Working Location: This position is open in Minneapolis, MN

Requirements: 
  • Airframe Powerplant license required
  • Ability to perform independently and deliver results to the requisite quality and timeline metrics.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with others in a professional manner.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.
  • Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test.
