And this is just the beginning.Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager, Technical Training, the Instructor, Technical Training, will facilitate, develop, and ensure the compliance of Technical Operations training and the application of procedures. Recognized for their interpersonal and listening skills, creativity, and energy, the instructor plays a significant role in the transfer of knowledge.The instructor will be responsible for providing technical, regulated training — including Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and health and safety training — to Technical Operations personnel at all stations.Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and deliver required documentation for training programs including syllabuses, exams, presentations, and training manuals for:
  • Aircraft technical training on type as per CARs section 566.10 / Policy Manual (PM)
  • General training on topics included in CARs sections 573.06 and 706.12 and Air Transat’s policy manuals (CPMs)
  • On all topics and improvements related to company policy and procedures (including, but not limited to: AMOS, health and safety, onboarding, and any supporting systems)
  • Act as a resource for Technical Operations personnel regarding general issues.
  • Remain current in company developments by collaborating and coordinating with stakeholders and report back to the Manager, Technical Training.
  • Complete, submit, and record any administrative requirements for training documentation including contracts, syllabuses, exams, and student attendance registers.
  • Other pertinent tasks assigned by the Manager, Technical Training.

Requirements: 

Qualifications

  • Diploma of college studies (DCS) in aircraft maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Experience working with software logistics in a process-driven industry and exposure to regulatory compliance
  • Bilingualism (French/English), oral and written
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Creative, dynamic team player with excellent communication skills
  • Show leadership in setting goals and deadlines for ongoing projects with various departments or units
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Autonomous, resourceful, initiative
  • Assets:
  • Experience as an instructor, trainer or lead role
  • Aircraft certification authority (ACA)
  • Experience in various roles required in aircraft maintenance processes
  • Satisfactory avionics background
  • Endorsed on A330 and/or A321
