JBT AeroTech, an Oshkosh Corporation Company, to Showcase LEKTRO Aircraft Tractor Series at NBAA-BACE 2023
JBT AeroTech Corporation, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) and a provider of aviation ground-support products, gate equipment, and airport services, announces it will showcase and offer an in-depth review of its premier LEKTRO® Aircraft Tractor series at the 2023 NBAA-Business Aviation Convention and Exposition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, Oct. 17-19, 2023.
Oshkosh Corporation's $800 million all-cash acquisition of AeroTech earlier this year underscores a collaborative vision. With Oshkosh's global mission to make a transformative difference across multiple sectors — ranging from emergency response and construction to waste management — the acquisition of AeroTech from JBT Corporation cemented this commitment further into the air-transportation industry. Both entities are recognized for their relentless commitment to enhancing the lives of the workforce, including those ensuring safer airport operations and smooth, efficient air travel.
“Joining with the Oshkosh brand is a significant milestone for AeroTech, and the synergy offers an opportunity to revolutionize air-transportation support, combining Oshkosh's technological prowess with AeroTech’s industry experience," says Dave Burdakin, president of AeroTech. “We are thrilled to showcase our LEKTRO products at the 2023 NBAA-BACE under the Oshkosh umbrella. The platform allows us to connect and engage with the general-aviation industry and forge strong relationships by further understanding the evolving needs of our partners and customers.”
For next-level reliability, LEKTRO's electric, towbar-less tractors have become a prominent resource for both general-aviation and commercial airline markets.
The LEKTRO Series on display at 2023 NBAA includes:
- LEKTRO 86: Suitable for aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) up to 40,000 lbs. The 86 Series provides all the maneuverability of LEKTRO’s larger models in affordable, entry-level models. The 86 Series is perfect for individual aircraft owners and small FBOs who want to upgrade conventional tractors to all-electric towbar-less towing. Extended chassis models enable towing 5-bladed single-engine propeller aircraft with clearance and comfort.
- LEKTRO 87: Ideal for aircraft with an MTOW up to 85,000 lbs. The 87 Series has the flexibility to tow everything from single-engine aircraft to long-range business jets and regional jets. This series is the perfect choice for busy FBOs servicing medium-sized airports. Extended chassis models enable towing aircraft with long radomes, like Falcons or G-280s.
- LEKTRO 88: Capable of moving aircraft with an MTOW up to 120,000 lbs. The 88 Series is the perfect balance of brawn and agility. They are the premier choice for premier corporate flight departments and the busiest FBOs. This series has the most battery-endurance options and operator-comfort options of the LEKTRO series, with the added ability to conduct underbelly towing of leading long-range business jets. Capable of towing piston aircraft to airline regional jets, this is the best-selling LEKTRO model in business aviation.
Each model in the LEKTRO series provides agility, precision and power, ensuring safe and efficient operations on the tarmac. The simplified soft-strap system emphasizes aircraft safety and operational ease.
Says Burdakin, “AeroTech’s specialized products will enhance Oshkosh's offerings, sharing mutual technological objectives such as electrification, autonomy, safety and connectivity. We look forward to sharing more about the recent acquisition at the 2023 NBAA exhibition, and why it promises synergies which will optimize innovation, drive new product development at an unprecedented pace, and provide unparalleled value to both customers and shareholders.”
Exhibition attendees can find AeroTech’s LEKTRO series of products in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at Booth N4417.
