Jet East Hires David Crowder as General Manager of New MRO in Statesville, NC

Jet East, a Gama Aviation company offering full-service capabilities and 24/7 mobile maintenance, announces the appointment of David Crowder as the general manager of its new full-service Statesville (SVH) facility in North Carolina. Crowder joins Jet East as its first SVH employee. He brings the necessary experience in leadership to guide the facility that includes two expansive hangars with ample office space, totaling 115,000 square feet, as well as an estimated 250 new employees to be hired.

Starting his aviation career in January 1988 with American Eagle as an aviation maintenance technician, Crowder steadily made a name for himself in the industry and eventually found himself as the general manager for Stevens Aviation, a role he held for 8 years before being hired by Jet East.

Crowder is recognized for being fearless and creative while actively seeking feedback to better himself and those around him. Not only does he bring knowledge and expertise to this new role, he is a skilled communicator and team builder — qualities that he hopes will foster a family-centered approach for the individuals who join the team.

Stephen Maiden, president and CEO of Jet East, says, “We are very fortunate to have someone like David join our team." He continues, "With his experience and effective leadership skills, I am confident that the SVH facility will thrive. David has a proven track record of success and will be able to achieve the desired results based on the goals we have established.”
