The Aircraft Mechanic Helper is responsible to the assigned Lead, Senior Mechanic or Mechanic in the performance of their duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

AMT II A &P in GAC SavannahUnique Skills:NA Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A &P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Drivers License required.

RS AMT III A &P in GAC AppletonUnique Skills:Candidate must be outgoing, have a strong work ethic and able to work in a team environment. Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 3 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A &P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Drivers License required.

Final Line Mechanic II in GAC SavannahUnique Skills:Must possess an adequate amount of mechanical knowledge to accomodate various installs throughout the aircraft build/retrofit process. Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 3 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.

RS AvionicsElec Tech III in GAC AppletonUnique Skills:2nd shift Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field. 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience requirement. A & P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

RS AMT III A &P (Avionics Install) in GAC AppletonUnique Skills:2nd shift Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 3 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A &P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Drivers License required.

• AFSC 2A3X2  Integrated Avionics specialist or equivalent achieve 7 skill level performing or supervising functions involving installation, repair, testing, and modification on NAV Attack, Flight Controls Radar, SMS, Comm Nav and Ecm systems  Operates avionics systems by using aircraft controls to determine operational condition. 

• The Aircraft Worker performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling and operation of aircraft support equipment, to include conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance.

Amentum is immediately hiring qualified Aircraft Structural Mechanic I’s in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana Virginia Beach, VA. VFA-106.The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
