The Aircraft Mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, avionics, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and mechanical components.

RS Aircraft Component Repair Tech III in GAC Texas ROUnique Skills:This is a 1st shift position for our Landing Gear shop. Previous experience performing repair and overhaul to landing gear and hydraulic systems preferred. Experience working with manuals, blueprints, and engineering dispositions.

The CBP Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing functions on assigned aircraft within an aircraft maintenance and operations environment and in accordance with applicable instructions. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • AFSC 2A3X2  Integrated Avionics specialist or equivalent achieve 7 skill level performing or supervising functions involving installation, repair, testing, and modification on NAV Attack, Flight Controls Radar, SMS, Comm Nav and Ecm systems  Operates avionics systems by using aircraft controls to determine operational condition. 

The Aircraft Mechanic II (Sheetmetal) maintains, modifies, and integrates the aircraft structure and its parts.

  • The Aircraft Worker performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling and operation of aircraft support equipment, to include conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance.

The Army Aviation AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

  • Troubleshoots integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, subassemblies, Alternate Mission Equipment, and test equipment to determine nature of malfunctions and corrective actions required both on and off equipment.
