Aircraft Mechanic - C130: 131298
In this position you will troubleshoot, repair and service aircraft and engine systems. In addition the mechanic conducts diagnosis of malfunctions, performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Duties: *Airframe and Power Plant license preferred.*Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.*Performs corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing precautions in the SDS for materials utilized to complete these tasks. *Maintain FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms. Education, Experience, Skill levels: *Must be a US Citizen *A minimum of 3 years C-130 heavy maintenance required. *Must have experience with flight control removal and reinstallation such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, vertical, and horizontal stabilizer. *Must be able to enter confined spaces such as center wing auxiliary tanks, dry bays, and horizontal access panel. Center Wing Removal and reinstallation experience preferred. *Must be proficient with Air Force Technical Orders. *Must be willing to travel and work in an extreme environment. *Travel required Physical Requirements: *Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment.*Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current.*Must be able to bend and reach.*Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes.*Must be able to communicate effectively,*Must be able to maneuver up to 50 lbs.*Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
