Thrust Flight is one of the fastest growing flight schools in the DFW area, and the only recipient at Addison Airport of the Distinguished Flight School Award sponsored by AOPA. We are seeking an experienced A P Mechanic to join our team working in an active flight school maintenance environment. Compensation for this position is dependent on experience. Essential Functions:This position works directly under the Lead Mechanic. He/She will perform inspections, services and repairs on a wide variety of aircraft. Mechanics are responsible to operate and maintain aircraft in accordance with company policy and procedures ultimately ensuring that all FAA regulatory requirements and mandates are satisfied.
Specific Duties: • Accomplish scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as assigned by the Lead Mechanic.• Accomplishes assigned maintenance tasks within the scope of the standard practice and procedures set forth by the Lead Mechanic and associated manuals and procedures.• Complies with all company's rules and regulations regarding industrial safety.• Maintain equipment, tools and the workplace in a clean and orderly manner. Minimum Qualifications: •Airframe Powerplant (A P) certificate•1 year or more of piston-powered and General Aviation experience•Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation regulations and manufacture's manuals• Subject to alcohol and drug testing program
