The Engine Shop Wing Mechanic role provides engine maintenance to deliver quality and value to a diverse set of aviation customers.Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow directions and remain on task
  • Disassemble and clean aircraft components/parts
  • Organize and Maintain shop and hanger floor from clutter or debris
  • Learn procedures and steps for higher level assignments
  • Install aircraft components and accessories
  • Read and understand maintenance manuals and understand requirements
  • Installation and removal of fuel nozzles on PT6 and Dash 8 engines
  • Install propellers, rig and balance.
  • Perform hot section inspections.
  • Install engines on aircraft; rig engines to assure they are matched to each other and function correctly
  • Troubleshooting
  • Make critical engine maintenance decisions not necessarily covered in maintenance manuals
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements: 
  • High school education required, some college preferred
  • A P Certificate strongly preferred
  • Technical aptitude
  • Ability to follow directions and remain on task
  • Must provide own tools (tools listing to be provided)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to:
  • Crawl in and out of tight spaces
  • Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
  • Lift, balance and carry 50 lbs.
  • Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
  • Work in close proximity to other people
