The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-II performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician III to join our team at Eielson, AFB, Alaska. This is an advanced level position that will provide technical support operations across a wide array of aircraft and missions.

As the Site Lead Mechanic you will lead the effort for  maintaining the aircraft, aircraft subsystems, and support equipment at the assigned location.

This full time position is located at Fort Novosel Al supporting Aviation Maintenance Services; hourly salary IAW current CBA; possible shift work and travel.
SUMMARY:
Repairs and fabricates aircraft parts and special tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In a team oriented work environment, perform aircraft installation of parts and components, lines, cables, etc. in area assigned using required tools and appropriate prints, specifications, and operational requirements to complete work assigned through final inspection, and assure conformance to specifications. Train other team members in methods and procedures.

An airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic is an airplane mechanic who repairs and services every part and system in an airplane except the instruments. An A&P mechanic must meet the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) standards and comply with FAA regulations to be authorized to work on airplanes.
