The Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60 Mechanic Specialty) troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. 

Classification Description Repairs, maintains, and inspects aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. Special certifications may be required.

Classification Description Troubleshoots, maintains, inspects, and repairs metals, plastics, fiberglass, composites, and bonded materials. Identifies and treats corrosion on aircraft and Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) to meet structural integrity requirements.
