Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
- Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
- Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
- Understand wire handling and routing instructions.
- Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structures and systems in accordance with standard repair processes
- Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform modification/repair.
- Performs verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
- Inspects and verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.
