Avionics Technician #8211; Advanced/Futuristic Flight Displays Would working with a group of talented, driven, smart people in integrating new, leading edge aviation products excite you? MYGOFLIGHT based in Denver, Colorado, is looking for a strong player to work with us to create new aviation products and lead our avionics integration effort. We have developed advanced Head Up Display (HUD) technologies. We serve many aspects of the aviation market including general and business aviation. We are looking for you to lead our effort to develop the integration approach for different avionics flight decks. This would include the design and creation of a wire harnesses that will intercept the ARINC 429 and serial data that are needed for our system to operate. We will kit these solutions and provide them along with installation instructions to avionics dealers across the world. Design of HUD mounting fixtures will be a part of this position too. We seek to go beyond traditional HUD graphics and provide visualizations that are futuristic and improve pilot and aircraft performance. We have an aircraft mounted HUD system that is being launched during the first half of 2019 and are working on a head mounted display for 2020. Key valuable skills and knowledge for this position include:

  • Multi-brand avionics integration including the selection of avionics interface devices and systems
  • Building and testing of wire harnesses
  • Aviation Data Protocols including ARINC Standards and Protocols (especially ARINC429 and RS232 Serial Data)
  • Working with COTS computers
  • Other disciplines that would be a plus would be in the areas of 3D modeling with tools such as AutoCad or Solidworks for the design of wiring harnesses and mounting structures
  • A real plus would be if you are a pilot or desire to be one

Key responsibilities and attributes for this position are:

  • Understanding and experience with successful avionics hardware integration programs, including certification to DO-160 or similar standards
  • Strong knowledge base and skill set associated with avionics hardware and the installation and testing of their installation and deployment
  • Aircraft wiring
  • Establishment of PMA and repair station processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Requirements: 

In addition to a can do, positive attitude, this person must have:

  • US Citizenship
  • Work out of our Denver, Colorado office
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Associate/Bachelor#8217;s degree in a science, technology or engineering discipline
