Avionics Technician II
Position Summary This role is responsible for performing Avionics installations, troubleshooting and repair work scopes within the Avionics department. Essential Functions Statement:•Maintain quality workmanship in accordance with FAA standards.•Test avionics systems.•Complete assigned avionics installations, troubleshooting, and repair work scopes. •Coordinate with avionics supervisory personnel issues involving parts and drawings for installation/repair work scopes.•Coordinate with Senior Technicians and Inspection to complete proper paperwork required for installations.•Work with Inspection Department to ensure FAA compliance.•Demonstrate competency in use of proper tooling and techniques necessary for termination of wiring applicable to aircraft modifications. •Provide proper accountability of personal tools IAW local repair station policies. Required Education and ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 5+ years of aircraft avionics experience Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge Preferred Education and ExperienceComputer Skills: Maintenance Tech Pub, Corridor Certificates and LicensesFAA Repairman's Certificate and Radio/Instrument Certificate PreferredManufacturer Training Certificate(s) FAA Certificates Preferred Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.Must have good command of the English language; oral and written. Work Authorization/Security ClearanceEmployee must be a US citizen.
