The Aircraft Mechanic performs organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance including inspection, operational test, repair, modification, routine daily, and periodic servicing, and troubleshooting on F-15 B/D, F-16 aircraft, aircraft systems, components, and equipment. Additionally, ensures flight readiness and supports and executes launch and recovery operations.

Aircraft Mechanic - Perform routine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and troubleshooting on ER-2 (U-2/TR-2) aircraft, components and equipment. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other employees as needed.
- Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
- Uses complex test equipment such as continuous wave and pulse generators, time domain reflectometers, multi-trace oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multi-meters and deviation meters, and specialized test equipment to perform operational checks.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Repair, replace, and or rebuild aircraft engines and related components of moderate difficulty, such as installation and removal of QEC gear, replacement of FMU, Fuel Controls, gear boxes utilizing hand tools and power tools.
Directs, coordinates, and monitors all maintenance actions required to support VX-31 FA-18 Avionics Work Center operations in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series and associated government and Company instructions.
