Job Responsibilities:

The Assistant Principal Avionics Inspector (APAI) serves as a full assistant to a Principal Inspector (Maintenance/Avionics) performing the full range of certification, surveillance and inspection duties for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen and designees.

• Shift: First Shift, Full-Time (M-TH) 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Starting Salary: $26.00 - $28.00/hour
• Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with possibility for Overtime

  • Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking.
  • Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
  • Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components.
  • Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment

The Geographic Program Inspector (Airworthiness) is responsible for the geographic program within the geographical area and for the performance of inspections and surveillance (to include certification and other assignments as requested by the principal inspector) on air carriers/air operators operating under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR).
