The HCF group provides structures analytical support for commercial or military programs, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine components. Responsibilities include: •Provide analytical support for preliminary detailed design through all phases, including development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service. •Validation testing (engine and rig) and data correlation with analytical models. •Support root-cause investigations for operational engines. Identify corrective actions. •Perform FEA and classical method analyses for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, crack growth, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses. •Identify design solutions, with multi-discipline teams, that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.•Advance technology and improve engineering processes.
