The CBP Aircraft Mechanic II maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.Principal Accountabilities:

Responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 1 specialized in Airframe/Structural, Landing Gear, Launch/Arresting, Wing/Pylon Fold; Hydraulic/Pneumatic, and mechanical Flight Control Systems (EA-18G experience is required) in support of the U.S Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island.

The Aircraft Mechanic I (AH-64 Mechanic Specialty) troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. 

  • Responsible to the assigned Lead, Senior Mechanic or Mechanic in the performance of their duties.
  • Performs ground support tasks including fuel and oxygen servicing, aircraft towing, launch and recovery and operation of AGE on the Flight Line.
  • Assists pilots as necessary during launch and recovery.
