Material Coordinator - JFK
Responsibilities and Duties: 1.Coordinate required materials and tools associated with routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance requirements as requested by Department Managers.2.Issues and expedites purchase orders, repair, loan, exchange and service orders.3.Participate, as a team member, in planning and coordinating component requirements and core recoveries.4.As directed, participates in Maintenance and Planning meetings.5.Purchase material as directed to assist other buyers.6.Coordinate material logistics, import/export documentation as necessary for the movement of Eastern and non-Eastern resources to ensure timely maintenance schedules.7.Maintain accurate records of material acquisitions, movement, storage, installation, and return/repair of components.8.Provides daily material and logistical support for Eastern Maintenance Control requirements.9.Ensure required components and materials are delivered with all documentation as applicable to all Company and Regulatory Regulation.10.Assist in compiling information for material warranty considerations and assist with claims as required.11.Ensure compliance with Eastern General Maintenance Manual.12.Maintain vendor relationships.13.Provide AOG after hour support as directed by the Manager of Material.14.Other projects and duties as assigned by the Department Manager and or DOM. Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years Aviation experience.
- Understand Aviation terminology and language.
- Understand Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) and Maintenance Manuals (MM).
- Familiar with Aircraft Heavy Maintenance.
- Able to communicate in English with vendors.
- Must be able to travel within and outside USA.
