The Ordnance group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost. This position is for a Mechanical Engineer in Controls Engineering that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. Additionally, in this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the Controls team with our Navy partner and with LM leadership, with many opportunities for career development along the way.In this role, you will have both responsibility and technical ownership of your hardware components within the Post Boost Control System (PBCS) family. Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, project management, or related technical discipline • Missile, ordnance, energetics, and/or aerospace related education or prior experience• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship is requiredDesired Skills:• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment • Experience in coordinating product manufacturing• Experience in engineering project management including cost estimate development and tracking of project cost and schedule. • Understanding in subcontract /project management of sub-tier suppliers• Familiarity with industry standards for design and testing of ordnance devices• Knowledge in design, development and manufacture of ordnance components and assemblies. • Awareness of materials and process for manufacture for ordnance devices• Good written and verbal communication skills• Strong interpersonal skills

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.This position is incentive plan eligibleAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Secret
