Duties
Serves as an office Program Support Assistant, independently performing diversified administrative, clerical and support functions under the limited direction of a manager or more experienced employee.
Incumbent serves as developmental Aviation Safety Technician (AST) in a Flight Standards Office
providing technical support to Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASl39;s) and the public. Performs or assists with a wide range of certification, surveillance, and investigation duties requiring research and evaluation in accordance with current FAA safety directives/orders.
Position is within the Air Traffic Organization, Technical Operations, and reports to the District System Support Centers. Incumbent serves as a Maintenance Mechanic that accomplishes routine and emergency repair, evaluation, and installation of buildings and structures, facilities, and grounds maintenance.
