The Sheet Metal Technician I is responsible for high proficiency in all minors through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform aircraft maintenance, MEL, CDL, NEF deferrals and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.
Swing Shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am

Position Purpose:
Leads, supports, and assists the efforts of technicians performing avionics installations. Fabricates wire harnesses, installs, terminates, ring-out, and assists in functional test of avionics/electrical systems.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities - Essential Functions:

Unique Skills:
In this role, you will use a variety of skills and tools to fabricate, locate, drill, and install structural components using approved Engineering drawings, prints and other documentation. Prior experience in these areas is required.

Under minimal supervision, assists in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.

Heavy structural modification experience. Able to understand and implement build sequence using paper blueprints. Aviation/Aerospace industry experience a must.

  • Gulfstream experience not required but preferred

Position Purpose:

  • Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment (GSE), advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems, inspects and approves completed maintenance actions, solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications
  • Must be able to perform all duties associated with aircraft sheet metal support on T-38 aircraft
  • Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, fuel systems and mechanical components
  • Inspects aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods.
  • Interprets nondestructive inspection test results, and provides information about defects to repair center.
  • Establishes radiation areas for radiographic operations.

Responsible for the effective use of available manpower to accomplish task assignments requested by Line Manager or MAC Maintenance Control to the highest level of reliability and safety in accordance with all applicable MAC, manufacturer and FAA policies, procedures, manuals and regulations.
