Jupiter Avionics Unveils Eclipse™ Digital Audio at Aircraft Electronics Association Annual Convention

Jupiter Avionics Corporation unveils its new Eclipse™ Digital Audio System at the Aircraft Electronics Association annual convention in New Orleans. The Eclipse™ follows a logical evolution of design, allowing straightforward control of multiple audio signals of up to seven users, using a choice of controller styles.

“Operators asked for more versatility for their communications systems and a digital platform,” says Jupiter Avionics Sales and Marketing director, Bryan Hart. “The Eclipse Digital Audio delivers exactly what they have asked for.”

The main components of the Eclipse are a JACS-001 audio control, a JDAC-002 digital audio control panel and a JCP-001 control panel. The JACS-001 audio control is configured using Jupiter’s tried-and-trusted Windows®-based software, ProCS™, and supports either high or low impedance headsets. The control panel also allows 3D audio to be selected to augment prioritizing of radio traffic. Interfaces for loudspeakers, additional audio users, recording devices, music inputs and messaging triggers are included as standard.

The JDAC-002 digital audio control panel reduces panel depth and provides operation using either a daylight-readable touchscreen or rotary controls. Additional features of the LCD display include individual ICS calling, recording and playback capabilities, system error messaging, and 3D audio selection.

“Jupiter’s proprietary user interface will immediately become the easiest and most intuitive on the market,” says Hart.

The JCP2-001 control panel offers the traditional ergonomic layout and a familiar method of operation. The proven Flextext™ annunciator technology means straightforward, illuminated legend customizing and field replacement. Normal/backup and emergency power inputs allow peace of mind, even in the most demanding environments.

Dallas Avionics is the North American stocking distributor of Jupiter Avionics. “We want to congratulate Jupiter Avionics on their new Eclipse digital audio,” says Dallas Avionics vice president of Sales, Scott Davis.

Jupiter Avionics will be demonstrating its equipment at AEA at Booth #106 in New Orleans and at Dallas Avionics Booth #107.
