In the role of Lead Engineer for Electric Machines - Mechanical Design you will be a key member of the Hybrid-Electric team within GE Aerospace, located in Garching near Munich.   • Perform the mechanical analysis for electric machine design 
  • Lead/support the mechanical design of electric machines 
  • Collaborate with interfacing disciplines of electric machine design and test
  • Support the electric machine concept development for hybrid applications

Required Qualifications

  • Master diploma in mechanical engineering or related fields; experience with electrical machines and mechanical design, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Advanced expertise in 2D/3D mechanical and heat transfer analysis (e.g., ANSYS) and proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (e.g., Siemens NX, TeamCenter).
  • Experience in rotor dynamics analysis, gearbox integration, and validating electric machine technology through prototyping and lab testing.
  • Proven system thinker with strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
