We have an immediate opening for a Licensed Avionics Technician, for the Operations Department—Langley. This position will be based out of the Langley facility and will report to the Avionics Crew Chief Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance installation of avionics and electrical systems fitted to aircraft
  • Ensuring all applicable AD’s, SB’s, modifications, SL’s, etc. are complied with
  • Recording work on Company build sheets or applicable forms
  • Following established maintenance techniques and adhering to standards
  • Submitting complete parts orders for projects
  • Submitting project status reports
  • Training and mentoring apprentices
  • Completing maintenance tasks within the estimated labour hours
  • Active share in Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Applicable qualifications, attributes and competencies are:

  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience with maintenance and installation of avionics and related electrical systems
  • Formal, recognized training (BCIT or equivalent)
  • A current AME “E” license
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Familiarity with current aviation regulations and standards
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of aircraft avionics systems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime as needed
