The Maintenance Controller will supervise the daily maintenance and/or alteration of all Capital Jet-operated aircraft. As the delegate of the aircraft certificate holder's Director of Maintenance (DOM), you will execute the designated functions of the DOM's office. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all company policies as outlined in the Capital Jet operating manual.

This is an on-site, in-office, or at aircraft location position. This is not a remote position.

Essential Duties ResponsibilitiesGeneral:

  • Ensure all out-of-service for maintenance aircraft are repaired in a timely manner
  • Assign maintenance personnel, including vendors, in the performance of aircraft repairs and overseeing repair efforts, as well as maintaining communication on repair status
  • Create a work database for scheduled, unscheduled, and line maintenance
  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors to plan, execute, oversee, and document maintenance events
  • Ensure all departments affected by a grounded aircraft are aware of the status of the aircraft
  • Ensure proper documentation of the work performed on the aircraft prior to approval of the aircraft for return-to-service
Requirements: 

Education

  • Associates degree in aviation maintenance, or equivalent level of training

Experience

  • Requires an aviation maintenance background with a minimum of 5 years' experience in aircraft troubleshooting; performing line maintenance; technical manuals, forms, and airworthiness directives; aircraft dispatch requirements; and aircraft systems training.
  • Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance experience with maintenance control experience in Part 135 and/or 91 preferred.
  • Gulfstream G550 and G650 experience is recommended
  • Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (minimum of 5 years)

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Must be fully proficient in all aspects of the software programs in use at the time. Both within the office and on each aircraft.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSES

  • Valid Driver's License with a clear driving record
