Core Responsibilities:

  • Safely assists Maintenance Department with various tasks related to maintaining and repairing equipment within the manufacturing facility.
  • Complies with all company safety rules and regulations during course of duties, including: LOTO, hazardous waste management, and hazardous chemical storage.
  • Use appropriate PPE, work practices, and other controls to minimize risk exposure to yourself and others on site.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance on facility equipment. This may include changing oil, changing belts, servicing filtration systems, changing air filters, checking for damaged components, etc.
  • Assist with facility maintenance/repairs as needed, notify supervision of any items that cannot be resolved with a ldquo;See it, Fix itrdquo; approach.
  • Sustain project ownership. I.e., determine extent of a repair, use appropriate parts, and complete the repair.
  • Assist with maintaining providing work order details to supervision (hours, parts, etc.)
  • Interact with all departments and levels of employees on site, from machine operators to the General Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advocate HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) minded work and processes.
  • Self-motivated team member requiring minimal supervisor/guidance.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, etc.
  • Safely operate the following equipment: fork truck, crane and scissor lift (training provided).
  • Ability to prioritize and utilize time effectively, along with accurately estimating repair/project timelines.
  • High attention to detail with the strong ability to multitask.
  • Effectively communicate with team members.
  • 2+ years of preventative maintenance experience.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • General familiarity with heavy industrial equipment desired.
  • Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
