As an Engine Technician (Chemical Clean and NDT), you’ll repair and overhaul gas turbine engines.
The Job

  • Prepare the engine component parts for cleaning
  • Perform chemical clean, or manual cleaning of aero engines turbine modules in accordance to approved manuals and work instructions
  • Cross train to learn how to perform non-destructive inspection and visual inspection of gas turbine engines and components
  • Ensure that engine components are detected for defects according to prescribed standards and procedures
  • Use of correct, approved tools, equipment for MRO work
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment. Check and certify that equipment records comply with company and OEM standards and procedures
  • Ensure that all overhaul and repair activities are carried out in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data, regulatory requirements procedures
  • Read updates on maintenance manuals, service bulletins, other specifications and regulatory requirements to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement
  • Be responsible for care and cleanliness of equipment and work station
  • Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices

Requirements:

  • GCE “N” or “O” Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline, Aerospace Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Ability to read, understand approved technical data in English
  • Basic understanding of relevant air worthiness, regulatory agencies requirement
  • Basic use of hand and measurement tools
