NBAA to Bring Business Aviation’s Most Powerful Event to New Orleans in 2028

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announces that it will bring the world’s most powerful business-aviation event in 2028 to New Orleans, a vibrant city and a global destination for major trade shows and other business and entertainment events.
The 2028 edition of the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) will take place from Oct. 10-12 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
“We cannot wait to host NBAA-BACE in New Orleans, a city with a unique energy and vibe,” says NBAA president and CEO, Ed Bolen. “NBAA’s exhibitors, attendees, sponsors and other event partners have been eager to bring NBAA-BACE to New Orleans, a world-class location for the industry’s most important event.”
Bolen noted that NBAA’s 2014 Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC) took place in New Orleans, breaking the attendance record at the time with 2,600 participants. In 2025, New Orleans again hosted SDC, this time welcoming more than 3,300 attendees. The city has hosted many other prominent events; New Orleans was the location for the 2025 Super Bowl and has routinely hosted other large trade shows.
Over the next two years, NBAA is planning to bring other events to New Orleans, beginning with the Maintenance Conference in 2026, followed by the International Operators Conference in 2027, with more expected to follow.
“New Orleans is an incredibly welcoming host city, and its resurgence as a major event destination has been tremendous,” says Jo Damato, CAM, NBAA senior vice president, Events and Professional Engagement. “We are delighted to include it in NBAA’s event calendar going forward.”
As the foundation is being set for a return to New Orleans in 2028, NBAA is moving forward with exciting plans for the 2026 and 2027 editions of NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, featuring compelling new elements, headline-driving announcements, industry visionaries, the most innovative companies, advanced aircraft and more.
