Spirit Avionics Ltd. has successfully completed the prototype aircraft’s upgrades for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Program management, cngineering and Certification services were provided by Spirit Avionics Ltd. The technical services for this program were performed in unison by Spirit Avionics, Lane Aviation and Tritex Air. Now that the prototype’s design has been approved by the FAA program team, Spirit Avionics and their subcontracting team will begin the process of upgrading the remaining 17 King Air B300 aircraft over the next 4 years.

Cessna Aircraft Company is adding three new maintenance trucks to its international ground-based Mobile Service Unit (MSU) fleet serving Citations across North America and Europe.
The latest mobile additions to the Citation Service Center support network became active in December. They are positioned in Colorado and Indiana in the United States and in Lyon, France. These MSUs will be joined soon by more MSUs in North America, including five in the United States and one in Canada, and another unit in Europe.

Duncan Aviation recently integrated an iPad application for wireless control of the cabin systems in a Falcon 900. This installation utilizes an iPad app, an Aircell CTR Wi-Fi source and an interface unit to communicate instructions to the Honeywell MH cabin management system. This fully customized iPad cabin control interface does not impact any existing functionality or tie up system resources.

Greenwich AeroGroup announces that Western Aircraft has been granted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award, for its exemplary safety and training program.
OSHA’s SHARP Program recognizes employers with less than 250 employees who operate excellent safety and health management systems. It is one of the highest awards OSHA can give to a small company.
