West Star Aviation Makes Changes to Sales Team

East Alton, IL - West Star Aviation recently announced changes within its sales team. Greg Byrnes has been named senior vice president of sales, while Rick Brainard (previously vice president of sales) moves to the role of vice president of business development. The changes are effective immediately.

Byrnes acted as vice president of sales and new business development at Gulfstream Aerospace for the last 17 years. As a new member of the West Star team, he will be responsible for generating the maintenance and modification sales for all West Star Aviation locations.

“We are very confident that this change will further elevate the growth of West Star Aviation, and build momentum for the future, all while maintaining the high level of customer service West Star is known for,” says Jim Swehla, West Star Aviation's executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Brainerd’s primary responsibility will be the development of new business for all West Star locations. This includes the aircraft dealer and aircraft broker network, managed fleet and fractional groups, as well as bankers and financial groups associated with the leasing and financing of business aircraft.
