Jet Aviation St. Louis Offers Free Tool Calibration

Jet Aviation St. Louis is offering free calibration of hand tools, such as torque wrenches and micrometers, for clients who bring their aircraft in for maintenance before December 31, 2012.

Proper calibration is necessary for any precision tool used to maintain aircraft and should be done at regular intervals by experienced calibration professionals to ensure safety. Jet Aviation St. Louis has a trained calibration team that maintains the company’s tools, and this service also is available to clients. The operation has provided calibration as a stand-alone service for many years to clients including the Illinois Department of Transportation, which recently renewed its calibration contract with the facility.

For a limited time, Jet Aviation St. Louis will provide calibration free of charge to aviation clients when they bring their aircraft in for maintenance.

“We’re offering to calibrate clients’ hand tools as a reminder about the importance of having calibrated tools, and to showcase the depth of capabilities we have here at Jet Aviation St. Louis,” said Chuck Krugh, senior vice president and general manager of the operation. “With certified metrologists on staff, calibration is just one of many valuable services we have to offer.”
