StandardAero Names Rob Cords Senior Vice President Airlines and Fleets

Tempe, AZ - StandardAero announces the appointment of Rob Cords as senior vice president of its airlines and fleets business. Airlines and fleets is the largest of StandardAero’s six business sectors. Cords replaces Jeffrey Wood who has left the company to pursue other interests.

Cords previously served as senior vice president of corporate strategy and customer development for the company since joining StandardAero in 2009. In his former role, Cords influenced the overall strategic direction of the company during a time of rapid growth and diversification for StandardAero.

Prior to joining StandardAero, Cords was associate partner for Oliver Wyman’s Aerospace and Defense Practice. In this role, he worked with some of the world’s largest airlines and maintenance companies to help them solve complex problems ranging from bankruptcies and cost reductions to mergers and acquisitions. Cords 20 twenty years of business, financial services, aviation and consulting experience to the team. He holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Indiana University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
