Bell Helicopter’s Aeronautical Accessories Brand Increases Bell 407 Product Offerings in Brazil

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company announces it has received approval from Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), the national civil aviation authority of Brazil, for three of its products applicable on Bell 407 platforms to be distributed through its Aeronautical Accessories brand.

Specifically designed for the Bell 407GXP, the Expanded Area Instrument Panel replaces the standard instrument panel and offers the helicopter operator additional space for a wider range of equipment locations and ease of installation. Through the unique design and layout of the larger panel, a third monitor and other mission-related equipment can be installed in front of the copilot.

ANAC has also given approval for the Rappelling Fixture Kit, which is a roof-mounted design that provides a safe and secure attaching point for use in rappelling operations. The kits are available for installation on both sides of the cabin roof when used in conjunction with the sliding door kit.

Also approved was the Quick Mount Installation Kit for an SX-16 Nightsun® Searchlight System, which is a versatile, mobile and high intensity light source and available for all Bell 407 platforms. It can flood an area with light from a safe distance. The kit includes a redundant auto-stow centering feature with panel mounted position indicators. Installation and removal of the SX-16 Nightsun® for maintenance can be accomplished in less than five minutes once the kit has been installed.

“These new ANAC approved products have applications across multiple mission segments,” says Jennifer Lunceford, manager of Sales for Aeronautical Accessories. “We’re proud to now offer all of these products into the Brazilian market.”
