Quality Control Inspector

Classification: Exempt
Salary / PTO: $75,000-90,000 annual / Band 0 (unlimited) PTO
Reports to: Chief Inspector
Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector maintains the overall inspection program and modification status of the aircraft.
Essential Functions:

• Develop procedures and instructions adequate to carry out the maintenance and inspection functions to the aircraft, aircraft component parts and materials in accordance with FAA Regulations and company manuals and procedures.
• Monitor and improve maintenance and inspection programs to ensure company operated aircraft are maintained in a safe manner.
• Ensure familiarity and currency of all company policies and procedures, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and the companyrsquo;s operation specifications.
• Maintain proficiency with manufacturersrsquo; maintenance and/or service manuals.
• Maintain a current listing of modifications and Airworthiness Directives on company aircraft and assist with the Compliance Action Notice program.
• Ensure familiarity with and comprehension of the GMM RSQM.
• Correspond with the manufacturersquo;s engineering department or independent engineering firm(s) on repairs and modifications for company aircraft.
• Assist with companyrsquo;s Reliability Program by working through the Reliability Analyst during aircraft Reliability review.
• Perform routine audits and compliance checks of historical cards, log pages, and records.
• Manage and resolve deficiencies on aircraft as noted during audits, Engineering Service Requests and Reliability meetings.
• Assist all inspection and maintenance personnel on matters pertaining to the approval for return to service of all company articles worked on or systems tests accomplished.
• Monitor required technical data on all articles serviced, repaired, altered, or overhauled by the company.
• Other duties as assigned by Chief Inspector

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct-report supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, lie and kneel in awkward positions and spaces. The employee must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders. He/she must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 70 pounds with assistance. Employee must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
This position also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines/scanners.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position can be active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing as needed. The employee must be able to lift and move items 50 pounds and under independently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read, interpret and implement the safety items included in the Employee HSE manual.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position and hours of work and days are generally 5 consecutive days, 7am to 4pm with occasional on-call hours as needed.
Travel: Travel may require travel to the field on occasion, as needed.
Required Education and Experience:

• A P mechanic certification through the FAA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of three years of experience with rotor-wing aircraft, specifically AS350 and Bell 212/412 series aircraft
