D.O.M. Magazine and AirComp Calculator Announce Partnership

D.O.M. magazine, the leading publication for aircraft maintenance directors of maintenance and aircraft maintenance management teams, announces a partnership with AirComp Calculator, business aviation’s only source of scientific compensation data and analysis. This partnership will provide D.O.M.’s audience of nearly 20,000 subscribers with a salary compensation survey for the maintenance segment of business and general aviation.
Dr. Christopher M. Broyhill, Ph.D., C.A.M., and C.C.P., says AirComp Calculator will first work with D.O.M. to refine and enhance the categories of compensation and to standardize titles within this segment. “One of the main issues we find when trying to collect compensation information for maintenance personnel is a wide variety of job tiles that oftentimes mean the same thing. Our goal is to standardize and categorize titles so that we can develop more accurate and predictable data for the industry.”
Greg Napert, publisher/partner of D.O.M. magazine says, “There is a great deal of concern with cost-of-living increases, increased duties and responsibilities of maintenance managers and consolidation of flight departments today regarding fair and equitable compensation. Maintenance managers want to be paid fairly, and companies want to be sure they are offering fair compensation. The landscape is constantly changing and we owe it to our readers and their employers to provide accurate and updated information on the compensation front! We are tentatively scheduled to publish the first compensation survey in December of this year, given we get sufficient data to publish the first survey. The survey will then be conducted yearly with results published in December.”
AirComp Calculator™ was created by Dr. Chris Broyhill, perhaps the industry’s most respected authority on business aviation compensation. An industry veteran with more than 40 years in aviation, Dr. Broyhill has led several scientific research projects concerning personnel retention, compensation, and leadership on behalf of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) since 2017. His research and expertise on the subjects of retention and compensation have led to his engagement to perform compensation analyses for hundreds of business aviation operators. The data he has generated is in use by two national management companies, many small management companies, and over one thousand clients, including numerous Fortune 500 flight departments.
