Our team members are motivated individuals that do remarkable things every day!Position Summary:AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Houma, LA that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry.The 1st Class Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welds on pipes and related components aboard vessels, in accordance with shipbuilding standards and specifications. Essential Functions:

  • Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy pipes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Prepare and set up pipe and pipe fittings for welding.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Work in confined spaces, elevated surfaces, and various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Assist with fitting, cutting, and prepping pipe materials as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience in a shipyard or industrial setting.
  • Ability to pass welding tests in accordance with ABS, NAVSEA, or USCG standards.
  • Familiarity with carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless pipe.
  • Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolding, and in tight spaces.
