FUNCTION AND SCOPE
Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Support the Maintenance Supervisor in all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment, and administrative requirements, and ensure the fleet is fully mission-ready in alignment with the company's operational goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment IAW applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  • Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice support and OJT training) to permit assimilation of the customer's trainees; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out maintenance.
  • Completes all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities IAW DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and procedures.
  • May be requested to perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties to facilitate completion of maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Team Lead.
Requirements: 
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A P) Certificate or any other industry equivalent qualification (15R MOS).
  • Minimum High School Diploma from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school is highly preferred.
  • Completion of military or commercial aviation corrosion prevention course is preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 years aviation maintenance, including 5+ years' experience as Mechanic on Apache AH-64 D/E aircrafts, with at least 1-year on V6.
  • Preferably at least 1 combat mission deployment exposure.
  • Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
  • Must have thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on the relevant aircraft.
