Lead Aircraft Engine Mechanic (A P)Negotiable Pay Rate based on hands on aircraft experience.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Lead Aircraft Engine Mechanic (A P) to join our team in the Butler, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of aircraft engines, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble aircraft engines.
  • Operate tools and equipment for maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Read and interpret aircraft diagrams and schematics.
  • Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and report progress to the Site Manager.
  • Use computers for documentation and scheduling.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces as needed.

Essential Skills

  • A P License is required.
  • Five (5) years of aviation-related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with engine repair, aircraft engine maintenance, and engine overhaul.
  • Experience with PT6A engines is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.

Additional Skills Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Pratt Whitney engines is a plus.
  • Must have own tools -- anything specialized will be provided.
  • Supervisor or Lead experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and lean into a leadership position.
  • Basic personal computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when deadlines are close. (Evenings, weekends, and overtime)
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
