Our Mechanical Apprenticeship program offers a unique opportunity to learn from industry leaders, gain hands-on experience, and lay the groundwork for a fulfilling career in aviation.  Your Journey:  During your 4-year traineeship, where you will be completing unit standards towards your New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4), you will rotate through different departments within our Aircraft Components and Side Shops and learn all aspects of what it takes to become a Mechanical Engineer. What are we looking for?:

  • Hold a New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3) or New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Pre-Trade (Level 3) or equivalent, by the end of 2025.  
  • Hold a full New Zealand Driver License with reliable transport from time of application (Restricted driver licence will be considered) 
  • Start your apprenticeship early February 2026.
