Job Title: Electrical Technician/Controls TechnicianJob OverviewJoin a pioneering team dedicated to reducing space transportation costs. As an Electrical Data Controls Technician, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and installation of the electrical systems for rocket launch pads. This is a long term contract position with the possibility for direct hire.Pay Rate: $35.00 - $44.00 an hourPer Diem Allowance: $125.00 per day workedJob Description / Responsibilities

  • Install and terminate wiring for launch pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Lay and bend Conduit (1 - 4 inches)
  • Wire terminations (Dax and Field)
  • Set up skids / modular units
  • Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
  • Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.
  • Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.
  • Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.
  • Install cable and cable assemblies.
  • Build intricate cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts.
  • Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC.
  • Build, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.
  • Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate (required)
  • Basic understanding of direct current electrical theory (required)
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools (required)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based systems (required)
  • Experience performing wire terminations, wire routing and wire harness fabrication (required)
  • Experience laying / running / bending conduit (required)

Work EnvironmentYou will work alongside a team dedicated to innovation in space technology. The position requires hands-on work with advanced electrical equipment and technologies. Must be ok with work 10 - 12 hour shifts 5 - 6 days a week. Shifts start at either 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM most days.Job Type LocationThis is a Contract/Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, FloridaPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
