Aerotek Aviation is seeking to hire an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to join a dynamic team where they will be responsible for hands-on maintenance and structural repair of civilian helicopters, with a particular focus on sheet metal work and mechanical systems. Job Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and structural repair to airframes, including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, and painting Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures, structural components, and engines. Service aircraft components such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Interpret technical data, including blueprints and manufacturers manuals. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and replace components as needed. Perform aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repairs and assess the functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Utilize aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheer.Essential Qualifications: 5+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience. Helicopter experience is highly preferred but not required. Proficiency in using aircraft tools and interpreting technical data.Overtime and Per Diem available for those eligible! Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
