Avionics Technician Tuscon, AZ 6-month contract-to-hire**If interested, please apply or call Danielle at 3 1 6 4 4 8 4 4 8 9**Join a leading industrial group that excels in energy, logistics, infrastructure, industrial machinery, aerospace, and defense. As an Avionics Technician, you will work in a massive climate-controlled hangar in Tucson, Arizona, where 16 lines of maintenance are dedicated to the CRJ line. This position involves troubleshooting, installations, removals, and inspections of avionics systems on CRJ aircraft.Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, install, remove, and inspect avionics systems on CRJ 200/700/900 aircraft.
  • Operate within a 12-hour shift, with flexibility to work any shift and any day.
  • Follow a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off schedule with 8 hours of overtime every other week.
  • Maintain a lockable portable toolbox with tools marked with a unique identifying symbol.
  • Ensure all tools are checked and etched with a unique identifying tool marking as per compliance.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5+ years of work experience in avionics systems.
  • Experience with corporate or commercial jet aircraft.
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Airframe expertise required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license preferred.
  • General Radiotelephone Operator License or Aircraft Electronics Technician Certification preferred.
  • Certification from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, regarding aircraft maintenance actions.
