Mechanical Technician
Job Title: Mechanical TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team specializing in the overhaul of Rolls-Royce M250 helicopter engines. You will work alongside a dedicated team of six technicians in our newly renovated engine overhaul shop. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and contribute to various tasks.Responsibilities
- Start as a parts cleaner, then transition to disassembly and cleaning within a week.
- Rotate between disassembly, cleaning, and inspection within six months.
- Become independent in buildup and assembly tasks by the one-year mark.
- Participate in maintenance tasks around the building as needed.
Essential Skills
- Diploma in aircraft maintenance from BCIT - Gas Turbine Technician Program.
- Two years of experience using tools like wrenches, ratchets, and sockets in a production environment.
- 1-2 years of experience following and reading manuals to build and disassemble parts.
- Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and verniers.
- Five years of hands-on experience with Rolls-Royce M250 Series II, IV, and RR300 engines.
- Canadian Citizenship and a valid passport.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ownership of personal tools is preferred, though not mandatory initially.
- Previous internship or stage experience with an aerospace company.
- 1-2 years of experience in aerospace parts overhaul.
- Hobbies related to repairing/building motorcycles, cars, or home repairs.
- Experience with Rolls-Royce M250 engines.

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 15:30. Although occasional flexibility is required, the honour system time card reflects our trust in employees. Safety gear such as glasses and ear protection is provided, and candidates are expected to supply their basic mechanical tools and safety boots over time.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Surrey, British Columbia.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Surrey,BC.
