We are seeking an Avionics Technician in Hartford, CT to perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and replacements on aircraft systems in accordance with FAA/JAA regulations and technical data. The role includes basic mechanical and electrical tasks, documenting work performed, and coordinating with technical representatives to resolve system issues Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to our clients General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures.Participate in 5-S activities.Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely mannerTroubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipmentPerform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as requiredOperate ground support equipment as requiredAssist with mechanical / electrical removals and installationsPerform other duties as assignedMay assist with maintenance at off-site locationsAssist other maintenance discipline Requirements Avionics / electric A/C Technical School or other substantiated equivalentYou have 5-8 years of aircraft experience, which must include a minimum of 3 year experience on corporate jet aircraftAbility to read and understand electrical engineering drawingsAbility to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft statusOwn Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of toolsMust obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as requiredMust be able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidaysMust be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outsideAbility to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable)A Certification if required by customer (Commercial Aircraft) GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) CertificateExperience on corporate jet aircraft / commercial aircraftBasic PC skills Miscellaneous About Our Client Our client is a global leader in aviation, committed to creating cutting-edge aircraft that set the standard for performance, reliability, and innovation.
