TEL Staffing is hiring for an employee-owned company based in Salem, VA, which is a leader in the rotorcraft aviation market recognized for its innovative solutions and value-added work from minor airframe inspections, removal and installation of major components, component overhaul and structural repair. In addition to operating our own fleet of both rotor and fixed wing aircraft, we are also an FAA certified repair station.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Must ensure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards prescribed by applicable Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Standard Practice.
  • Complete routine and non-routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on rotorcraft/fixed wing airframes, engines and flight controls.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of using aircraft technical publications with the ability to read and interpret basic schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts
  • Able to demonstrate basic sheet metal functions such as drilling, riveting, installing hi-locks, cherry max fasteners, making and installing panels and skin patches.

  • Ability to commute/relocate:

Location: Salem, VA, must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Requirements: 
  • Current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience with rotorcraft-minimum 2 years.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.
  • Sheet metal repairs, electrical troubleshooting is a plus
  • Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift and move items of 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Must be a US citizen with a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have a high school diploma, or GED.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA. regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start.
  • Will be enrolled in our random drug pool.
