Dassault Falcon Jet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, marks the opening of a major new maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB). This facility represents a significant expansion of Dassault’s presence in the Americas and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to customer support, operational excellence, and regional investment. It is one of the recent additions to Dassault Aviation’s global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network.

Lufthansa Technik Component Services Expands Workshop in Tulsa, Increases Footprint in the Americas

Lufthansa Technik Component Services (LTCS) substantially expands its workshop in Tulsa, OK. With an opening ceremony on November 13, the Lufthansa Technik subsidiary officially started operation of the new component shop. Providing a shop floor area of 10,700 square meters (115,000 square feet), the facility has doubled in size. Additional capabilities and an enhanced logistics network in the region furthermore increase the performance and service portfolio of the company.

CCCC Celebrates Its First AMT Graduates

Cape Cod Community College celebrates the success of its first group of students completing all requirements of its Aviation Maintenance Technology program, Thursday, November 9, 2017. As this first group of 16 graduates qualified for FAA Certification testing, some were preparing to begin work in the aviation industry, while others were already enrolling for further study to complete their Associate in Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance at the College.

Satair Group UK becomes the first organization in the United Kingdom to meet the requirements of the new AS9110C:2016 and AS9120B:2016 quality management standards for the aviation industry. This follows a detailed four-day audit by the British Standards Institute (BSI) that has led to the approvals being awarded and revised certificates issued.

Vector Aerospace (www.vectoraerospace.com), a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, signs a new seven-year exclusive engine service agreement with Precision Air Services to support the Tanzanian airline’s fleet of ATR regional turboprop aircraft. The signing of the new agreement demonstrates Precision Air Services’ confidence in the support received from Vector’s facility in Gonesse, France, over the past three years.
