As I'm writing this, it's the end of day two at NBAA-BACE 2025 in Las Vegas. The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) is bringing a deeper level of visibility into airlines’ operating environments with its newest integrated service, GoDirect Flight Efficiency. The offering—part of an extensive family of GoDirect flight-related services—allows airlines to make strategic decisions on flight operations and planning by amassing all flight variables into one place, including flight plans, weather, navigation charts, aircraft performance, optimized fuel usage and more. This powerful new tool from Honeywell provides up-to-date information to airlines and pilots for informed decision-making during all phases of flight. For airlines and passengers, the result is fewer turbulent flights that more often arrive on time and use less fuel.

Duncan Aviation continues to see success with its program launched last year that made its highly regarded engineering and certification services available for projects throughout the aerospace industry. Although the company’s engineering and certification professionals have always been available to assist other companies, Duncan Aviation expanded its services to include a team dedicated solely to supporting external requests.

StandardAero Component Services has announced a significant investment and expansion at three of the company’s U.S. sites during 2018 and will increase shop capacity by a total of 260,000 square feet (sq. ft.) collectively, with expansion of facilities in Cincinnati & Hillsboro, OH, and Miami, FL locations.

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), along with 16 other organizations representing a broad cross-section of the industry, sent a letter supporting legislation to establish an Aviation Maintenance Workforce Development Pilot Program. The bipartisan legislation was introduced today by Senators Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Maria Cantwell (D-WA).

A year after Duncan Aviation delivers the first Citation CJ3 aircraft equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion® integrated avionics upgrade, the company spools up additional installation locations to make the upgrade even more convenient for customers.

Duncan Aviation endorses the guidance statement issued in December by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), entitled “Ethical Business Aviation Transactions” and outlined in a short presentation by NBAA’s Business Aviation Management Committee at the NBAA Leadership Conference in San Diego.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) issues the following statement in response to the Feb. 27 announcement from House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-9-PA) to set aside his proposal for removing air traffic control (ATC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The proposal was part of House legislation (H.R. 2997) to reauthorize funding and programs for the FAA.
