Dassault Falcon Jet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, marks the opening of a major new maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB). This facility represents a significant expansion of Dassault’s presence in the Americas and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to customer support, operational excellence, and regional investment. It is one of the recent additions to Dassault Aviation’s global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network.

The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

Heritage Aviation Conducts Safety Stand-Down

Heritage Aviation, a leading aviation services provider, recently conducted a company-wide safety stand-down aimed at creating greater customer value by placing a focus on safety.

The one-day event is relatively unique to the FBO industry and included guest speakers from the Giles Group and Aviation Business Strategies Group (ABSG). Topics covered included human factors, FAA Regulations, the true cost of an incident/accident and a sophisticated approach to building a successful internal safety culture.

Snap-on DMC Electrical Termination Certification

The Daniels Manufacturing Corporation’s Precision Electrical Termination is the newest certification course now being offered through Snap-on’s Tools for Life Technical Education Program. 

The course curriculum focuses on various facets of precision electrical connections, including crimping.

Constant Aviation, a full-service MRO with a nationwide network, is awarded the 2018 NATA Aviation Maintenance Technician Employer Recognition Award at this years’ Annual Meeting and Business Aviation Conference. The award recognizes aviation maintenance organizations that encourage and support aviation maintenance technician (AMT) training.

Gogo AVANCE L5 Flying on 200th Business Jet

It took just 12 weeks for Gogo Business Aviation to reach its second major milestone for Gogo AVANCETM L5 with the 200th aircraft taking flight with the new system on board. 

To date, more than 400 AVANCE L5 systems have been shipped with hundreds of additional systems on back order and scheduled for delivery in 2018 – highlighting how highly popular the system has been thus far in the business aviation marketplace. In total, Gogo continues to expect to have approximately 500 installations of the new system by the end of 2018.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announces that it recently enhanced its On-the-Job Training (OJT) Laboratory with two additional aircraft structures: an all-new Gulfstream G600 fuselage, main entry door and wing and an industry-leading Gulfstream G650 fuselage, door, interior and wing. The additions ensure Gulfstream technicians continue to provide aircraft owners and operators with a first-rate service experience.
