As I'm writing this, it's the end of day two at NBAA-BACE 2025 in Las Vegas. The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

Duncan Aviation welcomes the first aircraft, a Bombardier Global Express XRS, into its first new maintenance hangar at the Provo Municipal Airport in Provo, UT. The workscope for the Global includes a 120-month airframe inspection and 10-year landing gear overhaul.

Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze Oklahoma City announces the addition of Jim Lockbaum as business development manager for Nicrocraft™ Aircraft Exhaust Systems. Ice Shield De-Icing Systems announces the launch of Ice Shield PSA™, a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) installation application that will reduce installation labor and allow minimal aircraft downtime when replacing wing de-ice boots—a Peel. Stick. Fly.™ application.

MRO Insider announces that its website now allows aircraft owner/operators to submit requests for 11 separate services. The website has been processing airframe, engine, paint, avionics, interior, propeller and rotor blade requests since its launch in 2017. MRO Insider has now expanded capabilities to include landing gear, wheels and brakes, component and accessory, and non-destructive testing to the list of service types available to request.

Yingling Aviation announces significant expansion to its current facilities at Wichita’s Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. Construction on a new 23,000-square-foot facility for aircraft avionics and maintenance has begun. In addition, the company is adding another 50,000 square foot of newly leased space consisting of a paint hangar, prep hangar, service, aircraft interiors and office space. The paint hangar can accommodate up to a Hawker 800 mid-size jet. The additional expansion also includes parking and ramp area.

Flying Colours has completed four full and three partial interior refurbishment projects on two Challenger and five Global aircraft types – a significant step-change as the Singapore team has progressed from undertaking simple repairs of cabinetry and soft furnishing to using its extensive experience to realize partial and full cabin overhauls on Bombardier aircraft for Asian and Middle Eastern customers.
