As I'm writing this, it's the end of day two at NBAA-BACE 2025 in Las Vegas. The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

West Star Aviation announces continued expansion efforts at its Chattanooga, TN, location (CHA), extending hours of operation and growing its paint and interior team. Effective as of Jan. 27, 2017, West Star's Chattanooga facility offers weekend shift hours, giving its customers 12-hour coverage from a dedicated crew Friday-Sunday, 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m. The team consists of five maintenance technicians to start.

Wilson Air Center Selects Winner of Year-Long 20th Anniversary Getaway Giveaway

Wilson Air Center announces Preston Ramsey, captain for The Lawrence Group, as the winner of a nearly year-long 20th anniversary promotion that was run at all four Wilson Air Center bases. Ramsey, based in Memphis, TN, is a licensed ATP multi-engine land/commercial single-engine land pilot with a total of 5,700 total time hours. He operates Cessna Caravan, Cessna Citation Sovereign+ and Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft. Ramsey will receive a 7-day vacation at one of the twelve Orange Lake Country Club resorts and $10,000 in spending money.

With the ADS-B Out (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Out) mandate fast approaching, North America-based Flying Colours Corp. secures approval from the Transport Canada Civil Aviation department to install ADS-B Out technology on Canadian-registered Bombardier Challenger 600-2B16 (604 and 605) and 300 airframes.

Vector Aerospace Corporation (www.vectoraerospace.com), a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, announces it has signed a contract with a major European government for the overhaul of Rolls-Royce T56 turboprop engines. The contract, which has a multi-year term, covers the overhaul of T56 engines, modules, components and accessories.
